'White Gold'

A poignant episode that I highly enjoyed...for the most part. The part I did not enjoy was that "friendly" little debate between Fleck and his new female partner, where the latter claims:

"Women don't want to be impressed. They want men to be honest."

Bullcrap!!!

It has been my first-hand experience that, when men tell women something that is honestly OPPOSITE of what women WANT to hear, the women get SUPER-PISSED OFF. The exact same way they do when men honestly believe women truly mean it when they say THEY ONLY WANT A PRACTICAL CHRISTMAS GIFT!

Have you ever heard of "expressing an opinion"? Perhaps SHE didn't want to be impressed but wanted honesty in a relationship, or not be given false impressions.

I _have_ heard of expressing an opinion. And, I stand by what I said! Other people might have more benign experiences in expressing honest opinions to the contrary of someone else's. But, it's never happened to me, personally.
