In real life victims family and girlfriend lawyer up and sue the city for wrongful death regardless of the cicumstances that lead to the shooting.In real life the girlfriend probably doesn't make the statement about trying to forgive the officer.In real Al Sharpton would be RANTING AND RAVING ABOUT RACISM but would have no comment on the THE TWO JEWLERY THIEVES. In real life the officer would be put on admiinstative leave and evenutally fired regardless of how his case played out in the courts. Then the police officers union would fight to get him his job back and so on and so on. Before anyone calls me out for being racist there are many instances where the white cops do seem to be trigger happy when dealing with minorities.
Overall I thought it was good episode other than most people ( of any race) would not be as level headed as the girlfriend was in that situation. I love CSI NY and hope that it is renewed although the roof top scene had the look of a series finale while still leaving the main characters in place for another season
