My visit to the set of CSI: NY + meeting Gary Sinise

On August 15, 2011 I went to New York with my dad in hopes of catching a glimpse of the filming of one of my favorite TV shows, CSI: NY. We managed to get there and it was great. We walked all around the set and nobody seemed to care.

They were filming two scenes for the Season 8 premiere which aired on September 23, 2011 at 9/8c on CBS. The episode will paid tribute to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The first scene was a scene on the beach with Gary Sinise who plays Detective Mac Taylor in the show. The second scene was a scene in which Mac is giving a remembrance speech about 9/11, seeming as it was the 10th anniversary of the attacks that year.

Gary Sinise was the only star there even though it will look like the rest of the cast was at the speech in the episode. The magic of TV!

And being the lucky person I am, I got to meet Gary! He shook my hand, signed my CD of The Who, and let me take a picture with him! He was a VERY nice guy. Though I have blocked out my face in this video due to privacy concerns.

Well, I can check that off my bucket list, now I just need to meet David Caruso and my life will be complete!

Gary is truly a nice guy, but I doubt that David will be as nice as Gary. From what I read David is not a nice person.

"From what you read"...

I don't know either actor, but every thing I have heard and read about Gary say he is truly a nice guy and gentleman, I have read the exact opposite about David. You can believe what you want about david but from every thing I heard about David he was not well liked by the people he worked with. I think the word is prima donna

Except you have no sources. All his former cast mates say great things about him on Twitter. So you're just being dumb and judgmental.

He seems pretty nice in this video greeting fans: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sk1GPZ_WAqI

Even when they are stalking him outside his house he plays it cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1leVelRoY8M

You are welcome to believe what you want, I hope you are not disappointed if you do meet him in person.

LOL. Bye.

that sounds like an awesome experience. My mom and I got to see him and his band perform at the 69th Infantry armory a few years ago. It was hard to geek out.
