The most annoying thing about such shows...

... in my opinion is that the cops are always depicted as having that "holier-than-thou" attitude. Like they've never done a single bad thing in their life and never will. They'er always arrogant and condescending to everyone. In almost all the crime shows that I've seen such as all the CSI's, Law & Order, Criminal Minds etc etc., there's always at least two sanctimonious cops.

Just their attitude makes me like the criminals more than the cops! LOL! Anyone else feel the same way?

I agree, act like righteous saints and are complete pricks about it. That is why I have come to hate these shows. Though Miami is a decent comedy.

LOL! That cracked me up! I gotta agree. David Caruso's acting (or lack thereof) is hilarious.

But isn't that the case in reality....only for there to be a "skeleton in the closet" that they've tried to ignore/overcome?

But unfortunately the writers never include that "skeleton in the closet" on their show. Make the show's cops think twice before judging people.

I like to watch these characters on TV exactly because they don't exist in real life. It's a better version of ourselves. It's hope.

Being sanctimonious, arrogant and condescending is a better version of ourselves? I certainly would not hope for that.

Name one Cop show in TV history where the cops aren't holier than thou. Exactly. There aren't any. It's why we watch them to hear the wise cracking sanctimonious bs we tune back in every week. Hey someone's watchin.
