"Suspect X" storyline- best episode

There were many excellent episodes in the long, 9 year run of CSI NY. Most of them were of course single, complete-in-themselves type installments. A few were continued stories like the "Cabbie Killer" from season 5.

But the one that stands out for me, and I'm sure for a few other viewers, is the "Suspect X" double episode, starting with "Down the rabbit hole", and finishing only several shows later, after an interval of many unrelated episodes, with "DOA for a Day".

For sheer excitement, suspense, the mysterious motive, and the ingeniousness and elusiveness of the killer, matched by the brilliance of the CSI team and Mac Taylor's sheer grit at the end, this episode has it all. You really wanted to see how the CSI team would outfox and capture/kill this most intractable villain.
