Did Emily really like/Love Brendan

I never got a sense she really cared for Brendan like he did for her, always felt from what we seen that Emily saw Brendan as a pain in the ass she wanted rid off as she didn't want to be reminded. That's why I love the film in a way Brendan goes through all this danger and risk of his own life for a EX, who probably wouldn't have shed a tear for him if he died. That's why the ending is sort of more bleak then many think, I buy Laura when she says Emily probably wanted rid of the baby as she didn't love her ex.

That's why the ending is a gut punch, sure Brendan got the bad guys but is left knowing his ex was carrying his child but wanted rid of it cause she didn't love him.

No, probably not. Her number one love was probably "drugs".

I don't think just drugs. I gave the film a rewatch the other day, it seems she didn't like Brendan's lifestyle of cutting himself off from other people (one of the reasons I totally buy into The Brain been a part of Brendan's mind theory) and wanted to be part of a clique and to feel wanted and was easy pickings for people like Lauren to set up.
