Extremly bad movie? turned it of after 20 mins

Heard that this movie was supposed to be good but im 20 minutes in to it and it seems like garbage.

Joseph gordon lewit is playing a really bad character. I mean is he james bond or what? Beating up weed smokers, coming to parties he wasnt invited to and getting a drink. Feels like the movie was written by a teenager. And the music is horrible, loud and long melodies that are so overused that it makes me wanna throw up.

PS: This movie doesnt even explain anything to you.. He gets one wierd phone call and he goes all stalker-psycho over it?

Can anyone give me one reason to not delete this movie from my hard drive and keep watching it?

If you got any movie or tv-serie tips, please share them with me :)

I just wanted to add that i am not a "hater" or a "troll". This is the first movie in atleast 5 years that i have started watching for over 5 mintues and turned of. Most bad movies I see till the end just because but the dialogue and everything else i explained above made unable to keep watching.

I had no idea that this movie was supposed to be Noir, so I guess that is one of the reasons I dont like this movie.

Well they never said it was his lost love of his life, only that it was his ex.

Mate, you're not alone. I "got" the movie, but the filmmaker clearly doesn't "get" noir. I've seen Maltese Falcon, Touch of Evil, Asphalt Jungle, Double Indem, (the list goes on & on) and absolutely love Kubrick's The Killing. You could watch these movies repeatedly and still find this movie clunky, confused and off-putting.

My suggestion would've been for you stop watching immediately and spend your time watching Sunset Blvd or perhaps Maltese with Bogey.

I somehow ended up watching the film over the course of 4 days. That's pretty long, even for me. At some points in between I didn't like the feeling it evoked, it was too outlandish, i.e. the dialogue and the interaction seemed so out of place in a high school setting. But as the film passes you start to accept the premise and there are some really memorable scenes, e.g. when Brendan is at the Pin's house for the first time. However I suspected Laura pretty much all through the film, also suspected him to be the father. That probably comes with watching a film in small bites, you pick up on a lot of details and aren't distracted so easily.
