When Brendan stumbles upon emily's body and hears the misstep in the tunnel. then the running away... who could it be? Tug would have seen brendan and known his motives all along for contacting the pin. Dode said he saw him move the body which he had done after the fact, and thought brendan killed emily. If dode had been in the tunnel he would have known that brendan came upon her body after she was already dead. laura maybe?

I always thought it was Dode but then I've been thinking its Tug and he's dumb enough to not know motives.
shareDode actually said that he was in the tunnel but even still he seems like the most likely candidate. After he knocked Brendan out it's likely that he stuck around and followed him.

If Dode was in the tunnel all along then he would have seen Brendan discovering the body. It was clear by his reaction that he found the body and wasn't the one that killed her. Then he hit Brendan and waited around to see what he did after that? I don't really buy that.
I would think that Tug was still around and was trying to figure out what to do next. Probably still distraught that he killed Emily. Tug didn't try to stop the meeting with Dode or say anything when The Pin was about to find out who killed her, so I'm guessing he just wanted to see how everything played out.
i always thought it was dode and that he got there after brendan did, not hiding in the tunnel before he got there. i think that when you first hear the steps, that's dode arriving.
shareIt was Dode. That is why he thought Brendan was the killer. Tug knows he is the killer when Dode is trying to sell the information and that is why he goes after him. Tug didn't know that Dode thought it was Brendan.
