I've given up on this film... AGAIN!

Four times i have tried to sit down and watch this movie. It's had good reviews and i think Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a fantastic actor... but this film is sooo boring! Nothing seems to happen and i find how they speak to each other really grates on me :(

I've also tried watching "The Departed" three times, no success; "Shutter Island" three times, no success.... i really WANT to like these films, but they do nothing for me

am i missing out on something??

It is frustrating til you get used to the language patterns. Took me three tries to finish and then I couldn't stop thinking about the movie for a week or two. Now I give Brick away as a stocking stuffer to all my friends- I think it's that great.

I hope you don't give up. The pace and suspense definitely builds through the last 1/3.
