She could've been full of *beep* , a final *beep* you to Brendan since she will probably catch a felony for so much heroin in her locker [not exactly smart for all the scheming she did] OR the flashover scenes were Brendan's idea of what might happen and no heroin was in her locker and she gets away scott free since she wasn't exactly running back to her locker from the field
Post script might be nice... but I also hope this isn't what high schools are really like today or we are screwed. And when I say screwed I mean *beep*
in the FAQ they explain: "Who was the father of Emily's baby?"

This is revealed when Laura tells Brendan that Emily said she did not want to keep the baby because she did not love the father anymore. Laura says Emily came to her three months ago when she became pregnant. Three months ago was before she was with Dode or Tug, meaning that it was Brendan's baby all along."
Yeah, if we take her at face value, it is Brendan. It works well, tying the whole story together a bit more, giving our hardboiled hero a fittingly depressing end.
But if you don't buy that, take Laura's other comment: It was a crowded field at the end. So if it wasn't Brendan, it doesn't really matter who, which is why my money is on him.
Brendan, definitely.
