Am I the only one who gets shivers...?

Each time I watch either Roundhay Garden Scene, Traffic Crossing Leeds Bridge, or one of the very early Daguerre photos, it sends shivers up and down my spine. Just looking at such an important piece in an advancement in mankind, along with the chillingly eerie story of le prince's disappearance spooks the hell out of me. i think it would make an awesome book/movie about le prince's life and his disappearance.

Spooky, I just saw this for the first time and it felt like watching the tape from The Ring or something. Very chilling.

Actually, there is a quite good and suspenseful novel that uses and explains Le Prince´s disappearance as a (minor) part of its plot: "Flicker" by Theodore Roszak. There´s even an imdb entry for a possible movie adaptation by Darren Aronofsky.

I wasn't spooked. I own a typographer from 1832, and a typewriter from 1867, and a transcribing machine from 1799, so it's nothing i'm not used to.

I don't get shivers, but everytime I watch these strips or read about this guy's disappearance it provokes alot of thoughts. It opens up that whole mystery feeling where you're dying to find out just what happened. Plus, seeing moving pictures from the 1800s is pretty damn cool.
