Have the WB's lost their nerve?

Let me start by saying I love the Wildboyz. When it's funny, it's one of the funniest shows on television. Seasons 1-3 contained almost all classic shows. That said; what is up with this season (4)?

The danger level on the show (with the exception of the poisonous lizards) is WAY down. Most of the animal stuff is being done in zoos or with trained animals. Last week, they had a segment where they sheared a sheep? Huh? Is that wild? They've had at least 5 sketches involving riding horses. What?

Please hear me; I LOVE this show! That is why I'm so distressed over this development. The outtakes (shown over the end credits) look more interesting than many sketches from the actual show. I know they want to sell DVDs, but that shouldn't happen.

Maybe this is the final season and the boys don't want to risk serious injury. Maybe they've run out of ideas for new and crazy stunts. Maybe they're getting too old for this sh*t (Chris just got married, after all). Maybe they've set the bar so high that an average show seems bad in comparison. Whatever the reason, this season has been somewhat disappointing.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I see your point. I have noticed that as well. Like the Mexico one, that has been my least favorite so far. But I still think The wildboyz are funny but they dont seem to be taking as many risk. Which i guess is ok since they make up for it with some funny jokes. I dont think they are "getting to old for it" but something else. I also agree with the credits. Like when Steve-o is going up on a parachute or when he flies across a zip-line thing. But I still think they are hilarious and is one of the best shows on tv. They give me something to look forward to and i just love them.

The only plausible reason why the Wildboyz are cutting back is to get prepared for the Jackass Sequel. Who knows, maybe the last few shows of the season might be golden.

The show is still REALLY funny. I've just had the feeling that maybe they should have stopped after Season 3, and I don't like feeling that way. Maybe all the sleep deprivation (for fear of the Black Mamba) has finally gotten to them!

btw Jackass 2 will rock...hard!
