Why does the music suck so much

That's my only problem with it. The music is soooo bad.

So BAD!!! Between the music and Isabel, I'm barely going to make it to the end.

You're right, I like the series but the music's really BAD and Isabelle I don't know yet because I'm finishing season 2, but I can imagine what could happen next with her character from what I already saw!!! The music is terrible from the opening credits to the conclusion! A to Z...

It beats the two note strums of the walking dead soundtrack

I don't agree. I like the opening song very much!!! To each their own!!!

The music was pretty horrible through most of the series, but they redeemed themselves at the very end when they played the pixies.

AS I said before - to each their own!

I agree with Irina - the music is very enigmatic and that is what this series is meant to evoke in all of us; it's meant to put a big question mark in our minds and urge us to think through the writers scenarios and to put ourselves in their characters' situation.

By the way, that music is not public domain, but if you mean it is an indie band that did the score, then yes of course. It is a trait that film makers often want to brand their series or movie. Personally, I loathe "Babba O'Riley" being used in CSI and because of my dislike of "The Who," I never gave the series a shot because the music stirs my preconceived feelings about the band which I transfer to the show.

People would be surprised how little money licensing deals for film and TV can be.

Did you watch it on Netflix or DVD? I came on to see if anyone else noticed. I have the DVDs and enjoy the music very much, but I put it on Netflix for background noise and some of the music has been changed and I don't like it. I found the original music mesmerizing!

I too watched it on Netflix and realized some key moments had the original songs removed (that scene where Switchfoot should be playing comes to mind)

People watch the DVD version if you can!
