Does this show have an ending?

Does it have an actual ending where they tie up many (or most) of the plot and questions? Or was it cancelled in the middle, and just leaves everything hanging? 4 seasons is quite an investment, don't want to go all the way through it, and find out that it just stops in the middle.

yes and no for the most part everything is answered but it does sort of ask more questions in that last ep

Having said all this there a few books based on the end

Season one, intended as a mini-series ends nicely. Loose ends are addressed in the novels.
