so, did maggie go back to Fla and hook up with the son of the professor?

I doubt it...committed relationships didn't seem to be big on Maggie's list of priorities.

That whole story line wasn't part of the book, so it doesn't look like it, though that would have made an even happier ending :)

She was alone at Rose's wedding, so I think she didn't.

In the book she meets a guy when staying at Princeton.

It was actually the professor's grandson. We'll never know, although the door definitely open to it. And after all, the professor was encouraging that prospect.
