Does this film remind anyone of..
Georgia Rule?
I'm referring to the whole grandmother and granddaughter relationship aspect of both films

Now that you say that it kind of does. Although the grandmother/grandaughter relationship isn't as emphasized in this movie as it is in Georgia Rule, I mean that movies is named after the grandmother.
Both are good movies, in my opinion. Both had a pretty serious tone to them, although Georgia Rule was a little bit cliche and predictable.
Good call youso. Also liked Georgia Rule, but liked In Her Shoes better. The story and characters were more developed. Although in Georgia Rule I did like Lindsey Lohan quite a bit. She is a good actress, and can be great if she gets herself together.
