This is the fifth attempt to make a US remake. I highly doubt it will work.

Who knows? I guess we’ll have to wait and see
I’m pleased to read that this American version will keep the POV and voiceovers but have its own original characters and plot instead of just being a lazy beat for beat rip off of the original.

hope this Murican remake will be better than the Top Gear reboot. they replaced three funny british comedians with three annoying lame hipster ass bozos for that show and it was a disaster
shareThree's Company was based on a British show, but that's the only American remake of a British show that I can think of that was successful.
I guess they keep hoping to catch lightning in a bottle once again. I'm not optimistic, though.

I like the original enough to not be interested in a remake.
shareEven if it's not a direct remake of the original?
From what I've read the characters and plot will be quite different to the original and feature two female leads who work together.
It could work, I loved Peep Show. I loved the British The Office and thought the American version of the Office was going to be poor but I actually like it better!
shareProbably not. If I randomly see an episode and like it, maybe. I'm not sure how that would happen as I stopped streaming services for TV and movies and I have no network service in my home. But would I be excited and seek it out? Probably not.
I'll just stick to the DVDs at the library, Cheapo Disk, and hit the theater every few months.
