Anyone else thinks this is the best of all the "Saw" movies?
As decent to OK to just about average as a few of them were after this, I personally consider this "Saw" (2004), the first original one, not counting its director's previous Short film Saw from 2003 prior to this, to be the best one in the overall series?
And a solid 7 out of 10 I ultimately DO give it, which means I think its pretty good. Yeah, absolutely none of them INCLUDING this one are "perfect" but as far as these things go, its worth a look anyway.
It did become after part 3 or so mostly rather convoluted and repetitive and the series lost its edge and quality afterwards, settling down mostly for needlessly complicated, but still rather brainless, forms of torture and splatter, at least the first one had some originality to it as well.
In any case, solid good first one and a few decent ones and others mostly being middle of the road average at best, and do we agree this first "Saw" movie is the best one? Cheers.
