Rafi's family

We see Rafi's friends living in the Hamptons, but are there any references to Rafi's family (aside from her ex-husband) in the movie? Does she mention that her parents are dead and she was an only child, or is it just not addressed?

I know who I am! I'm a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude!

Yeah and after dinner at David's family's apartment he apologizes to Rafi because they're so crazy. And Rafi says that she never had family or fights or laughter at dinner . . . or even dinner. I think the implication was that her family, in the WASP tradition, was emotionally distant and closed off from one another.

That's kind of a stereotype about WASPS. Emotional distance can be there in any family from any ethnic background. I thought Rafi's comment meant that her family or her upbringing had been unusual for some reason - I thought she also said that she didn't know or have grandparents in her life. This could mean an only child who lost parents early, and her parents had her when they were older. There could have been foster homes in her background, which made her trust issues even more important.
