Worth it after Carell's departure?

I just hit Season 8 on Netflix, expecting Steve Carell to come back, but then I come to IMDB and see that's not happening.

So far, it just doesn't feel right without him, and I'm debating whether to keep on watching.

What are your opinions on these last Two seasons with Michael? Is it worth watching?

No.... just... no

I wondered about this just a few days ago and kept watching but man season 8 was pure *beep* I was soooo close to drop it in between but as someone who wants to see things through I kepts at it. season 9 also wasnt that good but better then 8.

Its hard to recommend someone to kep watching as it is very tedious at some points and the only semi decent episodes are the ones focused on dwight.

Lets be real most of the characters only were fun to watch because of the way micheal interacted with them and when he is gone there is a hole no one could fill.

This show literally proved how important Michael Scott, and thus Steven Carell, is for the watching experience. Remove him and everything falls apart.

It's like without Michael Scott as the center sun, the planets don't know where to orbit anymore.

Michael generates so many things that make other things happen, that when you remove him as the center, almost centrifugal force, things just become chaotic and weird, and not in a good way.

For the record (does anyone even use those anymore?), Michael Scott is the only reason I watch this show anymore. I always skip straight to him and only watch his parts, everythign else is just boring and irrelevant compared to what he does and says.

I know some won't agree with me, but try to do that in reverse and watch only parts he's NOT in, and see if you still disagree..

I enjoyed The OFFICE, Though I don't think this show could make it in modern day for how easily people are offended.. I mean, all one has to do is watch the very 1st episode of Season 1 to see where this was going.. Since the show seemed to really center around Jim & Pam, they could've ended it when they got married and ended the series at Season 6 or even when Carrell left..

Naturally it's not the same but still entertaining.
