Least favorite main character

Who is everyone's least favorite main character from The Office?

reply

I hate Michael and Pam, can't really choose. But Michael for most consistently pissing me off.

Depends...Michael 50% I wish never existed, 50% of the time he is by far the best character.

Roy was never a main character, and I understand his purpose in the early seasons, but they gave him way too many lines. I've seen the actor do good, diverse comedic work, but Roy never delivered a single funny line.

Andy was pretty solid to start, got progressively worse, and in 8/9 got unwatchable.
Late series Kevin was also pretty rough.

Then there's Jim.....

Tough call. I'll have to rewatch the series and get back to you. brb

Roy performing Billy Joel's She's Got a Way was comedy gold, though I suspect it wasn't mean to be.

Jim and Stanley.

Probably Pam. She had some funny moments at times, but when she and Jim would flirt, it was just cringeworthy. Also, as much as she didn't like being a receptionist and really didn't have any friends at work, it pissed me off with her attitude when Jim wanted his dream job in Philly. Then Season 9, some of those episodes where Jim and Pam are fighting were just unwatchable. Like when they were fighting about CeCe's recital.

Jim comes in at a close second. He was funny when dealing with Michael and Dwight, but when he was trying to be the cool guy or (as mentioned earlier) flirt with Pam...ugh. Also, it drove me nuts when he would call her Beasley all the time, especially after they were married.

I thought the flirting was just darling. There's no point quoting from the story line from season 9, it's utter nonsense. Never made a lick of sense. I don't remember James trying to be the cool guy, Ryan most certainly, not Jim. Pam obviously didn't mind being called Beasley, and Jim didn't do it all the time.

Exactly. People just LOVE to assume things.

reply

Kevin from Season 4-5 onwards. They turned the dull and slightly slow guy into someone who acted legitimately mentally challenged.

who acted legitimately mentally challenged.

To be fair, many other characters did: Michael, Andy, Erin, Dwight.

reply

Nellie, Gabe, and Robert California, if they count.
If not, then Ryan, Oscar, and Phyllis.

Also Plop.

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

Stanley

Meredith. She's really just human garbage. Fart is also a terrible person but I haven't really watched all of S9 so I don't have the full picture. Not a big fan of Plop but he has some decent parts to him.
