Love Ryan scolding Jim in season 4

Jim who fully admits to being a lazy, no good excuse of an employee, Jim one of the sweethearts of the show who is always in the right(despite being a scumbag if he was a real person. These writers were way out of it) gets put in his place repeatedly by Ryan who was his boss at the time.

In episode 13 he gets torn to shreds by Ryan for being a backstabber and how he knows Jim doesn't care about his job and spends most of his time bullying a legit retard etc. And in ep14 after he made a sale(because he tried, for once) he expects his boss to lick his arse clean for it, and he is shocked when that doesn't happen.

Aww sweetheart doesn't understand why he doesn't get heaps of praise for everything like he's used to in his coddled life. Halpert could be so vile.

Instead the executive pushes the employee to commit fraud

reply

Halpert was the worst. Right after Pam and Plop.

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

reply

Yep. Just an awful person. Dwight was my guy, so of course I became annoyed by Jim's bullying tactics.

reply

I like the Jim character most of the time, but I never understood why he was an assistant manager, or anything like that. He hated his job, and he harassed other coworkers.

Often times in real life people like this get by on their looks and 'charms'. Shamefully they will step over other employees who have superior performance and work ethic but don't have those traits. Studies have been done on this.

Although not every boss will fall for this BS as we also saw on the show with Ryan and Charles Minor who eviscirated Halpert for his nonsense. So I'll give the writers credit for that atleast.

But still, even in these situations they tried to make Halpert the good guy and the 'victim'...moments after he was bragging on cam about how little regard and effort he has for his job! Lol unbelievable. They had such a hard-on for this character.

Good point! So true.

reply

He hated his job

I'd put it more as he wasn't inspired to do his job, none of them were at a professional level. In the beginning he wasn't in any serious relationship, didn't have dependants a mortgage he only needed a wage in order to eat and sleep. It was also clear he could do his job well and close sales easily.

As the show progress he got his girl, got a house, had kids which grounded him more. Yea he kept on fooling around with Dwight but given Dwight's behaviour who wouldn't?

reply

"Bullying a legit retard"? Who might you be talking about? Regardless, a classless and degrading thing to say which makes everything else you've said unworthy of reading...

reply

That's how he operates.

reply

Well said!

reply

Awww did I hurt some liberal feelings? lol good. I thrive on that.

As for you pretending not to know who I'm talking about, yes the character dwight legitimately suffers from some form of retardation, just because he's a highly functioning one doesn't make it right to get a kick out of tormenting him. Halpert is a sadistic P.O.S.

reply

A troll and an MD, how do you find time for it all?? Inspiring.

reply

Back to your safe-space you go, soccertranny. 😀

reply

How's Julie?

reply

Cried it out in my cozy liberal cocoon, feelin better already ;)

reply

Who's Julie?

reply

Juliefuzz1 or Turk part 2. Who joined Imdb 3 days ago, went straight to this board, ignored all the other threads and came to this one in order to agree with Turk, and hasn't posted before or since. I've seen it before, it was too obvious.

reply

Oh so Juliefuzz1 is like Mrs Turk. I imagined the real Mrs Turk looking like a semi female version of Kevin, that would explain the constant anger.

reply

Benny's all paranoid now after his safe-space has been violated by me. I love it. In his special JAM worshipping bubble there is only one poster on the internet who can't stand his wet fantasy of a couple, and everybody else who agrees with me must be an alt account. LOL.

Don't insult Julie's appearance by comparing it to Pam please.

reply

reply

Whoops thought you were talking about me... same name lol

reply

I'm good. LOL. I'm a lurker, but yeah, I did make an account so I could reply to this post. I generally don't respond to threads. I just have binged The Office lately, and I was thinking, 'damn, that Jim doesn't take his job seriously, but he's assistant manager!' and then I saw this post by Turk. So I responded.

reply

Hello Turk. Part two.

reply

I'm not Turk or a Turk part 2. But I'll gladly go back to just lurking if I'm going to be accused of being someone I'm not. adios.

reply

Byeeeeeee Turk part 2.

Didn't actually occur. Has the dexterity going into your right hand left you confused.

reply

Dude I've been scouring The Office board for the last hour since I just finished the series, and you are in or have started almost every single thread, and you do nothing but complain about Jim and Pam. You have to chill out, dude. You seem reeeeeeally invested in absolutely HATING two characters from a sitcom that stopped airing years ago. It's not that big of a deal, man. Go on and live your life. There are plenty of other things that matter way more that you can focus on.

reply

The OP is a troll, and a laughably bad one. He's been doing the same things for years.

Is it that traumatising, benny boy? LOL. You haven't even noticed that I really only stop by once a year when I rewatch the series. But to you that horror to hear the truth about your little couple feels like 365-day safe-space violation doesn't it?

Also you're the one who just had an entire thread of posters talking about what a troll YOU are, so don't project.

I'm doing the right thing. If HBO made a program glorifying Hitler and Stalin, would you speak up about it? It's literally the same exact thing with the JAM cancer.

Secondly, even if what you're saying is right, what does that make the fruitcakes who do the opposite? Benny and frozen ones the Jam-loveturds have literally never in all the years I've posted here said or admitted 1 single negative thing about JAM, ever. In fact they spazz out against everybody who even hints at something non-positive about them. THAT is the truly creepy and sickening behavior, pal. To cling on to fictional characters like they're religious cult-figures who are holy and perfect in every way.

reply

Well, now I'm inclined to believe that you actually are a troll, seeing as how no one in their right mind would try and equate to sitcom characters to Hitler and Stalin.

You can ignore that if it was a little too soul-crushing for you.

But do you have the courage to answer the second part of my post? do you think it's normal to spend a decade making it your life's mission to defend fictional characters and never once in all that time admit a single negative thing about them?

reply

I haven't spent a decade defending them, because outside of the times I watch the show, or the very few times I talk on a forum about it, I'm literally not thinking about them at all. You need to calm down man. It's a television show. There is absolutely no reason you need to obsess over two characters the way you are.

reply

Did he really just compare JAM, with Hitler and Stalin??? Really??????

reply

Rarely?

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

Crabalocker fishwife.

and even then there was the implication in the background that Ryan was out of resentment because Jim was now dating Pam (who'd turned Ryan down because of this) - the fact that Toby (another of Pam's unsuccessful suitors) was present and only willing to comply when this warning was given seems to add to this.
Leaving Charles Minor as the only one to dislike Jim and find him a lazy and unconvincing worker from a neutral, objective, strictly business point of view. And as others have already commented, even then, Charles Minor is portrayed as the villain of the piece and Jim the victim.
