Amazing film
Gone straight into my top 10, i could totally relate to Jin seok lee and the ending made me tearful. Really reminded me of Saving Private Ryan too.

I wasn't that impressed. Although it's probably one of the best Korean films ever made, I thought it was a little hokey in a few places--especially the end.
shareI have to agree with that. Personally I prefer Korean horror, but this was a well done but quite standard war film. That is not to say it was outright bad, on the contrary. It was just not as great as people wants it to be.
You know people, there is a whole range of ratings between 1 and 10 too...

yeah, this is the best war movie i've ever seen. it made me cry a couple of times, especially when jin-seok was kneeling down and trying to talk to his brother's remains. that was really sad. the movie, i must say, was also sort of viscerally satisfying, it made you understand the anger of the south koreans and when they took that anger out on the enemy, you felt happy for them.
