Real War.
Is it possible for this movie to somewhat 'Desensitize you to real violence?
I am curious because in the first 45 mins or so of this movie I was grimacing. The images of people blowing up left & right really bothered me.
It made me feel awful inside. It made this world we live in seem absolutely -- Horrible!
In fact, I had a mini-episode of Post traumatic stress disorder.
During my so called sleep that night, I kept waking up & flinching.
I was scared for my life. I felt unsafe in my own room.
I kept staring at my window & sitting up at every little noise.
Oh crap... I've got off track.
I was going to say that I actually got used to the images by the 2nd half.
But that little story kind of ruined the whole meaning behind that didn't it?
Anyway, this movie really made me interested in war-fare.
I used to always be sick by the stuff...The facts.
All the facts surrounding war (any war) were just too much for me.
The savages. The liars. The lobbyers. The rich. The poor. The crime.
But now. Now, I think I can stomach the stuff.
Now I think I'm interested in learning.
And so I am here for mainly 2 reasons:
1) I want to know if this movie (or any other movie) served as an eye-opener for you. One that maybe desensitized you, to the point of interest.
(Cause some people are so disgusted by war (as I was) that they'd just stay away from anything about it.)
2) I want to hear about any must-see documentaries you've seen on war.
(any war)
