The Forgotten War deserves more attention!!
It really does sadden me that The Korean War is so marginalized in history. Vietnam has received TONS of coverage and there are dozens upon dozens of films about that war. As for the Korean War, you can count the number of films on one hand probably.
Close to 40,000 US troops died, and at a MUCH faster rate than in Vietnam. In Vietnam we had about 58,000 deaths in 7 years or more, while in Korea the death toll of 40,000 was reached in 3. The war was brutal, and it also had some amazing campaigns like the Battle of Incheon.
Taegukgi is a great film, but why not more films from the US perspective, something like SPR for the Korean War? The few US films that were made are from the 50's.
"Dammit, Sulik died again! I'm taking back my Mega Powerfist, worthless tribal!"
