A mishap on my part made this movie so much more suspenseful

At the beginning of the movie when we're introduced to Jin-seok as an elder man and he gets a call from the army saying they've found his brother, I, for what ever reason, didn't remember which name they said was the living man and which one they said was the dead one.

So throughout the whole movie I knew one of the brothers was going to die, but I didn't know which. This actually had me on the edge of my seat during the majority of the combat scenes (and the Yong-Shin scene) in the movie's latter half.

Funny how that works.

This happens to me all the time, even with American movies. I saw Glengarry Glenn Ross and was confused because I thought Al Pacino's character stole the leads with Jack Lemmon lol

I missed the whote beginning and the death came to me as a suprise. I think it was the best moments in movie history. Maybe they should have deleted the beginning scene then?

I gave it 10/10 but now Im wondering if it was my mishap.. if I would known that the brother dies I could have seen it so much different...

The exact same thing happened to me. I was going back and fourth on who I thought would make it, and when Jin-seok was thought to have been burned to death, I actually believed and was shocked when you see him again two scenes later.

I couldn't keep any of the asian names straight so I had no idea either.
