How to un-suck soccer in the U.S.

The fact that hundreds of millions of third-world imbeciles love this mindless boring game is just additional proof that it does, indeed, suck- So I don't see it ever becoming popular here.

Let's have a look at American Football shall we?

NFL Football is a complex undertaking involving offensive and defensive formations where individual players must make instant "reads" and adjustments. This takes not only incredible physical skills, but brains as well.

At the opposite end of the spectrum dwells soccer, a minimalist game in every sense of the term - kick ball, run, stand, watch, run, kick ball, stand - on and on and on ad nauseam.
It takes absolutely no brains, recognition, or hand-eye coordination to play, and it is therefore ideally suited to nitwit euros and the slovenly illiterate primitives of south America, Africa and the middle east where it is popular.

If you would care to offer any evidence to the contrary, I would be happy to educate you.

Thank you for not falling for too much of the bait and saying our football is garbage. However, I'm an American who happens to like both forms of football and the tit for tat annoys me, so not everyone "thinks every other country sucks".

To be honest, though, most Americans are more indifferent to soccer (football) than hate it, but it's slowly growing.

I think they call it (American) football because it evolved from Rugby football. So in order to differentiate from the two footballs, Association football was shortened to Soccer.

I'm American and I LOVE football (and hate American Football). I was hoping with Beckham's joining LA it would get more popular here but it hasn't seemed to change anything .

Atleast I can watch streaming European matches on the internet. The only way I get to watch the really great players.

Please don't pidgeon hole all americans as arrogant idiots. Some of us are, some of us aren't. That said, I totally understand how the rest of the world gets frustrated by americans.

You do read the other players in Football (soccer) as well and have to improvise and plan your route of running, so that you can open your opponents defence and therefor be able to score.

Im not saying that American football is easy, because its not (and i've played both). But to say that real football is easy and require no brains is just pretencious and ignorant.

Also Football might seem minimalistic, because you dont need a large playbook to be able to play and 30 pounds worth of armor, but minimalistic does not mean lack of thinking and planning.

All sports suck. Partly because they produce idiots like you. But also because they're all boring as hell and the beer is always overpriced and the other fans are obnoxious and the players are overpaid and the mere fact that anyone, anywhere in the world cares about a group of grown men chasing a ball all over a field or court is utterly retarded.
