Which one do you prefer?

I just want to know which movie did you guys liked better, part one or two?
I liked part one better because there were more jokes and it was a beauty pageant so there's a lot of stuff the writer’s could have made fun of. Also we got to see more of Cheryl (Miss U.S.) and I just loved her she was freakin hilarious! And Sandra was more laid-back and down-to-earth and seemed more real. In part two she was mostly superficial and I didn't like that. I liked her role of being feisty and tough chick. Anyways, what do you guys think?

of COURSE the first one. (cheryl is so cute, lol!) it's way funnier and is clever, not rather stupid (whereas the second one...) ALso Candice Bergen as the villain was hilarious, and these 2 loan sharks were um... not. but the 2nd movie did have its moments, particularly during the 2nd half of the movie. i will be extremely surprised if anyone likes the second one better!

I liked both the same both of them is funny!!!!

reply

I loved both of them equally... Both movies had their great moments...I almost liked the second one better because it wasnt such a chick flick... The first one was a bit more girly....

reply

The first one... it was just more... good. I dont know i laughed at it WAY more. But in the second one the ketchup tree line was good. haha. At the movies nobody even laughed at that one and i laughed for like an hour. Whats wrong with people these days?

reply

Love Miss C, i loved the 2nd too, but would have to say the first was better, not just coz i know all the words *hangs head* heehe, but do like the 2nd one aswell. When i first saw it i honestly thought the whole 10 months thing of her being completely superfical was a dream. Yep the loan sharks were lame, but it made up for it with the tasty Jeff Foreman (Enrique) Bergman was clealry the better villan, and the first did have more laughs, plus it was a new thing and the second just kinda played off it, but still good.
Very disappointed with the DVD extras on the region 2 disc, Trailers! is that all we get, seriously!

We haven't got all day.....Continue!

I liked the fist one and I disliked the 2nd. Part 2 altho it had a FEW funny moments was boring to me and I didnt like the way they changed the Gracie character. She went from being endearing to annoying.

i agree babycelest, i liked the first one but my god i couldn't even finish watching part 2.

reply

I like the 2nd better, It's funnier. That's basically why.

First one...I love it so so much. The second is okay...but it could have been better.

First one

Definitely the first one! The second is just some stupid excuse for Hollywood to earn more money (BTW, it didn't make much anyway)!

Don't mind me...my opinion is different then mostly everyone else, on mostly everything."

I guess the average person isn't a complete moron.

The first was better. The villian was better, the supporting characters were WAY better, the plot was better, the humour was less blatant and slap stick, and the character Gracie Hart was hilarious and fun to watch (not so much in the second). The second movie relied entirely on unsophisticated gay humor, ethnic humor, and OH SHE TRIPPED AHAHAHAHA humor.

Thats why I liked the first movie better, but its whichever humor YOU like, I suppose.

reply

The first one was much better. Had a better storyline, better characters. More laughs, the 2nd one was ok, but not enough laughs and all the things that were put in to make you laugh were all used at the wrong times. For example, Gracie's snorting laugh was used well in the first movie and was funny. But in the 2nd they used it at all the wrong times and it just got annoying.

what exactly DOES it say about the average person?

reply

I saw the second one last night and I think it is funnier and better than the first, which I also liked. But I prefer the second one. I really liked it when Gracie talks on the phone with her boyfriend who dumps her, and we see her passing through all sorts of subtle emotions, from hope and joy to disappointment.
It really made my evening, and I needed to see a good, well-written film.
Yet I think a third one would be too much, but who knows? I might be wrong.

reply

i've seen both of them the last couple of days, and i'm pretty sure i found the first one a more enjoyable watch.

front page news,
in a time where peace had come through,
alert to all people, listen tight,
a guy lost his remote control last night,
people are talking in town,
say, did you hear about that guy?
companys big and small, are making calls,
we gotta help that guy out, you start by looking in the mall,
at one house, 2 old ladies were having tea time,
one said to the other, have you heard about that horrible thing happening to that guy?
he lost his remote control,
but the whole world is working on it though,
it happened in a time where peace had come through,
and a guy loosing his remote control, was front page news.

Haha! Now that did make me laugh, picturing someone laughing their ass off while the entire audience remains silent. I don't mean to bash this film, I like Sandra and thought this sequel wasn't so bad, but it wasn't memorable either and not as funny nor as charming as the first one (in my opinion). So, yeah, I clearly preferred the first one, hands down.

I merely watch to see Ms. Bullock, all other characters are invisible.Incidentally,
why must there be so many black Americans in this and legions of other films.
Hollweird seems to be waging a war on white Americans.......don't they?Next you might see all black Navy Seals or all black Astronauts??

reply

They were both pretty good actually!

reply

I liked the first one better. It was funnier and more interesting.

reply

Personal preference: first movie.

I liked the first one. A lot. Had a difficult time getting through the second one, and I'm making an attempt to make it to the end of the movie right now. Maybe if this movie had been a stand alone and not a follow-up to an already great movie, it would have been okay. It maybe would have been funnier since we wouldn't have already gotten acquainted with the original Grace prior to this drastic personality change. Especially if they had given a bit of a back story of how Grace used to be to' up. But yeah... her personality change in the second movie just spoiled the whole thing for me.

The first one is good, but i like the second one just as much. What's interesting is that she goes back to being Gracie Harte, but then becomes the person the FBI wants her to be far too much. Then has to find her way to a happy medium.

I love her interactions with Regina King and her assistant. Benjamin Bratt's character sucks for giving up on her.

She was just following the consultant's advice.

reply

The second one has some really funny parts, but i prefer the first one.

To me this question is kind of like asking, which would you prefer, 1)A Gourmet meal or 2)A steaming turd on a plate ?. Answer: Number 1, ofcourse.
