Hooliganism died out and has been dead for quite some time.
Occasional scraps happen, but that's immaterial compared to the organised, abundance of mass violence that plagued the sport in the 80s. The British police to their credit have kept a lid on attempted resurgences from newer generations. And now all you get is the occasional scrap between half a dozen people, which is in stark contrast to the tens of dozens that were arrested on a weekly basis back in the 80s.
I go to plenty of away games and opposing fans share the same pubs, transport and routes to the game with next to no trouble at all.
