Bandini's room

He lives in ground-floor room, in hotel on busy street, use window as entrance and never locks it. Seems that anybody can very easy just hop in and get all his stuff, including his precious writings. All that in 'racism, poverty, and disease' filled city with all these poor immigrants around.

Am I being paranoid or this is not very realistic in any L.A. neighborhood in any decade ??

he was not a famous writer nor he was rich.he had to pay his rent and many people's money.so who would try to hop in his room.
