I understand why you post this, but this has been going on for years. & when you compare the pink panther $82 million to pink panther 2 $35 million, you will see why some artists should be in the movie. while others may not need to be.
sharePractically since movies began having sound singers were in films - many films were musicals in the old days and some actors can't sing so you've got to have a singer who can also act. It's nothing new.
People get upset when musicians have a go at acting and they also get upset at actors who make records but really it's no big deal. If you're in the entertainment industry you get to know people, opportunities come up and who doesn't like a change of scene in their job? Beyonce sang in this film, so in that respect it's not that much different to someone like Judy Garland being in a film and belting out a few tunes back in the 40s.
