Would you go outside?
They're all in the hotel room, including the law enforcement guys. After the gang swells up in size, the law guys all go out and lay down their guns. And get executed for their efforts.
My immediate reaction to that is "well, I guess no one's going to think about leaving now."
So what happens then!? They all talk about the son and the other guy leaving! Huh?! Were they not paying attention?
Like I said above, would you leave?
And a little later, they're gone. Just disappeared, I guess. Not a word about how or where they went. Guess they couldn't think of a plausible way to show them getting away.
Seems like just staying in the hotel would have been the safest. The main guys were going to be leaving soon anyway.
I only saw part of the film. And it looked very well done and acted. Just wish it paid more attention to plausibility. Totally unbelievable events tend to take me out of the story.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them ...well, I have others.

ps. And then there's the ubiquitous "bad guys always miss when shooting the good guys" paradigm.
