Where did the Bible in the bridal suite come from?

I notice others commented on the Bible at the end, but did anyone else wonder how it fit in the scene? It was too clean, stiff and shiny to be anything Ben Wade might have been carrying around with him.

Contention City, AZ was founded in 1800 and abandoned in 1888. The Gideons International organization was founded in 1899; and The Bible Project wasn't adopted until 1908. Anachronisms distract me.

Hi rosekarenm,
Thanks for your comment. I always wondered about the Bible being there (in that time period, I mean), but I didn't want to make a fuss. After all, the drawing was excellent .

He's an outlaw. He stole it.

I don't know, and I don't care. I'm sure it was an anachronism, but it didn't distract me. Interesting fact about the Bible Project, though.

Bibles have always been found in hotel rooms for as long as I can remember.

Opinions are just onions with pi in them.

raf-33, may I ask how old you are?

It's rude to ask a vampire his or her age.

The International Bible Society starting putting bibles in hotel rooms in 1823, since then the Gideons have either taken over or become synonomous with the practise since its now more like to be a Gideon bible found in a hotel room.
