Did wade know Alice?

The talk about green eyes at the dinner table.

What was that about?

reply

Yes I wondered about that too. I think more likely (especially considering his bedroom chat with the bar girl earlier) he has some long running memories or delusions about a past lover with green eyes. However maybe Wade had inadvertently reminding Alice of her own shady past - a time before she met and married Dan.

reply

Ben had never seen Alice before-he just has a thing about green eyes.

He was trying to disarm her. And he liked to play head games.

I don't think so, no.

Ben was:

+ Flirting with Alice
+ Freaking out Evans
+ Emotionally manipulating everyone at the table

reply

They want you to leave you wondering, but I didn't think she knew him either.

reply

I read a theory somewhere that he did know her and the older boy was his son. Interesting to ponder anyway.

Nah, it was just his lame pick up line, though I guess it could work at that time, not that he would have realistic chance for any action but at least it served purpose to mess with Bale's character, Wade liked to mess with people.

I came on here to ask this very same question too.

He was pretty specific about San Francisco, and her delayed response and body language seemed kind of suspect... If he had just mentioned the green eyes line like he did with the girl in the bar, i would of thought nothing of it.
