It was but, I enjoyed this one for what it was.

I like that Westerns are alive and kicking in this day and age.

The originals ending was laughable, the tension and the climax here was done much better.

Yes, very better was Delmer Daves version.
Frankie Laine's song is a part of this movie, and here is lacking.
“Second parts are never good”
Since "Silverado" 1980 ( Included ), I don't remember a good western.
Someone said: "The Western is dead".

the western is never dead you just have not got good enough actors to appear in them
