I agree. Watched both of them, a couple days apart, and while the original version is very good, the characters in the new one are a bit more developed, and the action scenes are truly exhilarating. They took the basic story elements of the first and just expanded on them in every way.

Then the original must have been really *beep* because there were some really stupid moments in this movie.

I believe this is one of those "opinion" things, where neither side of the argument will never, ever truly be correct.

As it's all just a matter of opinion and personal taste in the end.

This is all purely opinion but I enjoyed the remake immensely compared to the original. Great cast, great story, great guns and gunleather.
