shareI completely agree
shareYou are so right dude, not the Oscar material but definitely funny and engaging, anyone can't turn it of until the end.
This is the 2000's response to Coming to America.
You have been CRURNED!
I love this movie as well. Yes it is "bad" but it is very slap stick Wayans-type movie. Their films are enjoyable to watch.
shareDid you all watch the same film as me???
This was arse clenchingly awful and grating and borderline racist!
Oh god... I guess it was made in a more "innocent" and nonchalant era, when things were not so damn complicated... Why was it racist? Was it because you wanted it to be? I can't get people nowadays... Everything has to be something.. Racist, inappropriate, take your pick.. It's just a funny movie, simple as that.... π
shareOK if you haven't watched In Living Color, you really don't get the Wayans Brothers' (who are black) style of comedy. A lot of comedy has racial overtones. Comedians like Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, George Lopez all use their ethnicity in jokes.
shareThis is coming from someone who rated twilight 10
shareDefinitely! Truth is the Wayans' in general, are too over-the-top and I don't find them funny.
Yea, Tho I Walk Thru The Valley Of The Shadow Of Political Correctness...πΊπΈ
Racism is prejudice and hatred of people of certain ethnicities. No one was prejudiced or hateful in this movie to anyone of a certain ethnicity, so you can't call this movie racist. Black men wearing makeup and pretending to be white women isn't racist.
shareYou need to get laid
shareI laugh so much every time I see this movie. The jokes never get old. Highly underrated comedy, but thankfully it has a pretty good fan base after 10+ years.
"I must express myself." - Delia Deetz
This movie ought to be up with some of the great comedies, it is on-the-floor-rolling, tears-in-the eyes hilarious. And vastly, vastly underrated.
In bad taste sometimes? Nawh, not really. Every one of the characters is a moron, nitwit, or a crook or inept in some way or another. The movie just enlarges the characters inadequacies and self-delusions and turns the whole thing into an outrageously funny farce with a happy ending. It could even be considered a classic comedy of mistaken identities, with nobody really reading the other characters motives correctly and making all the wrong assumptions. With of course the hugest wrong assumption having to do with the cross-dressing FBI agents. That is so Some Like It Hot. ...
This movie is fvck!n iconic.
