Do (white) feminists hate this movie?
Because it forces white women, especially wealthy ones, to face-up to their white privilege in relation to black people, rather than pretend that all women are oppressed by all men?

shareYou're giving way too much credit to the film. It's just your average comedy meant to be fun. I doubt that anyone, black or white, can identify themselves with a bunck of over-the-top characters. And I assure you that wealthy white women have privileges becaue of their wealth and not because of their whiteness. A rich person of any color has much more power than anyone in this world, regardless of race.
shareI think your comment may irritate some feminists.
shareNo of course not. It celebrates white women. But I see you are a little confused and therefore need to be better educated on the topic you just wrote about. Some of things you said were just weird to be blunt. But oh well. I dont get paid enough to teach.
shareNo, they don't. This is such a cheap movie, but somehow it works.

Hmm...I don't think Gloria Steinem and Germaine Greer have seen the movie. I may be wrong, but don't think that I am.

Maybe it's either because I'm a white woman in an interracial marriage, or that I'm "working poor" class, or perhaps a combination, but I've never experienced this "white privilege" you speak of. Anyway I love this movie, it's actually one of my favorites and makes me laugh when I'm having a gloomy day. I think imtgus film is hysterical and I don't read into it at all. It's people like you that I hate, you take a funny movie such as this and come out with asinine questions that make me disappointed in humanity.
