Hi. I've been working as a student for the past week on the movie. First of all, Evan looks AMAZING...and the scenes I have seen are soooo hilarious. Evan was very cool and has some funny things to say. The crew have been really nice and the costume guy did an awesome job on the private school uniforms. All of the extras (there probably 150 or so) look really well dressed in nice stuff - I was wearing a J Crew tie that I hope I can keep. The movie reminds me of Clueless and American Beauty. Ron Livingston plays Evan's English teacher and he is very funny also. Does anyone know when the movie is supposed to come out? From what I can tell it's going to be really good. I'll put up another post after I work a few more days.

Thanks for sharing....nice to hear that it looks great! Thanks for the tidbit bout Ron Livingston as her English teacher. So I'm assuming most of the scenes you are in are with Evan and Ron? Are you in any scenes with Jaime King or Selma Blair?

DUDE omg i need your help. My friend auditioned to play Randa Azzouni in this movie and the casting director said she was definiteyl gonna get the part, but they NEVER called. They said that she is the perfect person and all that *beep*. But no call. So can u PLEEEEZZZZ tell me who got the part for Randa Azzouni, the Arab girl By the way i read the script, i seriously didnt think it was funny, but i guess it is. A lot of sexuality. Evan's character screws with people! And that girl who's Randa's sister kill sherself! this movie will actually be out before 2005, it'll be out in late 2004. Pleeaze tell me who plays Randa.

Not funny in the sense it's not Funny Haha..like a normal comedy...I think it's more like Heathers in that sense...a black comedy...Speaking of Evan's character...what's her character's name? Thanks

I also auditioned for one of the roles..and had a chance to read the script. Evan's character is named Kimberly. Her dad is played by James Woods and her stepmom is played by James King (the really beautiful blonde from Pearl Harbor)...a lot of actors named James or Wood in that family. I laughed a lot when I was reading the script, but it reminds me more of American Beauty or Rushmore than some ha ha movie. I heard that Evan turned down a part in Mean Girls to do this movie. I think she picked the smarter, more interesting movie, but I can't wait to see how it turns out. I don't know who is playing Randa but if anyone has any pictures from the set will they post them someplace?

Thanks for the info!! Lol...Jaime King as her stepmom..hehe, I was thinking she was gonna play one of the students...Is Jane Krakowski playing the reporter? A role that once had Christina Applegate attached to.

Where'd you hear Evan turned down a part in Mean Girls? Which part did she turn down do u know? Interestingly enough, a while back, I read a review of Mean Girls online...it was from newspaper...anyway, it basically said that the role Lohan played would have been better portrayed had Evan been cast.

I would think that the reporter role Applegate was going to play would be now palyed by Selma Blair.

Cosmicheat - So did the review say that he/she wished Evan had been cast or that she had actyally turned down the role? I loved Mean Girls and I think Lindsay did a great job, but boy Evan would have been neat in the role. I want to see her in something comedic like that.

Speaking of cast....just saw Josh Zuckerman was added....he worked w/ Evan before on Once and Again...in two episodes....

Looking at the rest of the cast..at least the main ones who I think will be part of the high school crowd...well evan is the only one who is actually w/in high school age...everyone else is college and beyond.

Well, not to be racial or anything, but I doubt that her looking like the parent roles in the movie had much to do with it because like asians, a lot of indians look alike, so i'm sure probably all of the potential actresses for this role looked like the parent characters. :)

The family in this film is Palestinian, not Indian.

Regarding "a lot of them looking alike"... I guess that all depends on whom is doing the looking. Good casting directors certainly do consider family resemblance, along with acting skills and other factors.

By the way- none of the three actors who played the Palestinian family are Indian, nor are they Palestinian.

Yeah, well they made a good choice anyway because the actress who played her did a great job. She was rather emotionless, but I guess that's just how the character was written.

I thought so too-that she was emotionless. Maybe because her father was so strict? It was like she had a lot of confusion and anger inside. But I liked Adi's performance.

randa is played by adi schnall, she is bad ass and its retarded that she is on credited on here

My best friend was an extra this week in the court room scenes. She said that Danny Comden (the funny guy on I'm With Her) was playing Ron Livingston's lawyer. Apparently, he had the whole court room cracking up. I thought he was the funniest part of that show. Great addition to this cast. Also, heard James Woods was also very funny. The Vigin Suicides is one of my favorites. Can't wait to see this movie.
