(SPOILER) ABOUT RANDA!!

Okay this has been bothering me for a long time, why did Randa kill herself, was it cause her parents pressured her to do it or did she buy a gun from Kenny without her parents knowing about it or was it some whole other reason? What do you guys think?

You have to go back to Kimberly's statement about their symbiotic relationship (the whale and the little fish that sticks to it). The theme of the film is disillusionment and disappointment with the world. Both Kimberly and Randa are idealists. But life has "gradually" disillusioned Kimberly so that the only thing that gets her off is manipulating people.

For Randa, who originally wanted to become a doctor and treat the poor, the disillusionment process has been much more sudden. It begins when she meets Kimberly whose world view she gradually acquires. She does not feel the shame of her parents after the trial, but rather anger and disappointment with them for not supporting her. She never finds out that Kimberly was orchestrating the whole thing; to get revenge against Britteny and to generate publicity for her acting career. They disillusionment has made both girl's extremely angry.

Since this is a film and not a clinical case study you don't know Randa's precise motivation for killing herself, but it is either a desire to hurt her parents or such a disgust with the world that she does not want to go on living in it (probably a little of both).
