Randa's Kefiyeh - headdress

I just now viewed this movie on TV.

There is a lot of discussion about whether or not Mr. Anderson did molest any of his students. I am thinking that, at least in the case of Randa, he did.

Before he closes the blinds of his office, he does touch her around the area of her headdress. My feeling is the obvious one - he wants to see her without it. During her testimony, she answers 'both' with assurance and without hesitation.

But most importantly, when she commits suicide, it is not only in the same location, but she removes her headdress, as she surely had to do for her teacher.

Hmm.. you might be reading a little too much into it, but if you remember that in one of the scenes, the one where he closes the blinds from the office perspective, he doesnt actually do anything to her.
I think he was supposed to be just a tad pervy.. but enough to get himself in trouble by getting ppl to think he actually was a paedifile..

i agree with romano, if you remember the flashback, we dont actually see wat happens to Randa, she cud very easily have been molested. That wud explain the location and manner of her suicide, and her answer to the hands question. The point can definitely be argued

Or... It just happened what we've seen, he reprimanded her writing skills heavily, but he was considerate enough to do that in private. He was at the same time stupid enough to be alone with a female student which makes him open to ... harrasment charges.

The reprimand alone can very well explain Randa's actions and her suicide.

She removed her headdress to get the gun out. Anything else I guess you an read into that

i assumed she was removing her headdress because of the religious tie. if she didn't have it on, it was like she was separating herself a little more from her religion when she killed herself
