This movie should ATLEAST be around 7.0. I hate the way IMDB averages the total rating. They get their numbers by averaging the total of ratings by AGE GROUPS. How lame.

I'd of liked the movie better if they had cut out parts that didn't matter to the movie. Boring parts, I could do without.

People didn't hate this film because it wasn't mainstream, they hated it because it was terrible. Most critics felt the same way. Not only are you pumping this movie up, but you are so pretentious that you feel the need to slam the intelligence of others while assuming you get movies on a higher cerebral level.
I remember a D- grade in Entertainment Weekly myself. This movie should have a 3-4 rating.

Indie Movies need to quit thinking that they are automatically on a higher level just because they don't have high finances. This movie was a self imposed highbrow version of a lowbrow comedy. It tried WAY too hard.

Yeah, it's a bit much to say "you weren't smart enough to get it" when someone doesn't agree with you about a film, or any piece of art for that matter. Art is subjective, it never has truly universal appeal. Some will like it, some won't.
You liked this film, some didn't. It doesn't make you smarter than them. A lot of people who didn't care for the film wouldn't have made the glaring grammatical error you made in your post.

Seriously, if this movie was trying to be art/indie, it failed. It really wasn't that good of an indie movie. If it was, it would've gotten more respect from critics and award shows. share
Most IMDb movies have one rating lower or higher than they should have. Pretty Persuasion is on of the few movies which deserves much more. This film is atleast 8,5 and should be in the friggin' top 250.
