Why did she befriend Rhada? (Spoilers)

I'm not quite sure I understand why Kimberly befriended Rhada in the first place. Did she already have her plan in mind, and jumped on the opporuntity to have a Muslim girl to put next to the Jewish kid? Or did she do it just to make herself look like a good person?

eh, i just think that Kimberly just wanted people to think she was amazingly nice.

I think she just liked the idea of having someone clueless to follow her around, do whatever she said, and take her verbal abuse without even realizing she was being abused

I think maybe that Kimberly found Rhonda as a weak person who could aid her with her master plan. ?? Like maybe her and Brittany weren't enough and they had to get someone everyone would beleive. Like a sweet innocent Arabian girl? and maybe she got them both into detention on purpose to..set him up somehow?

i don't know.
i confuse myself.

i think she had the plan and she needed another "victim" for the harassment case so she picked someone totally clueless who wouldnt know any better. she wanted someone vunerable, impressionable and someone who was in a place where she needed to fit in somewhere and Rhada was that.

I thought it was because her brother died in operation Iraqi Freedom, so she wanted a middle eastern person to get hurt as well? (at least thats the way she makes it seem in the end when she is talking to Brittany, after Brittany comments on the fact that a girl died, Kimberly says something but I can't remember what that led me to believe that)

She says something like: "every war has its casualties...just ask my brother."

Initial Success, or Complete Failure

I think that Kimberly's speech at the end of the film is intended to make viewers believe that she had it all planned out, starting with the beginning of the film when she befriends Rhada. It definitely created the tense moment that allowed Kimberly to blurt out the racial slur (thus setting her plan in motion), and also forced a casualty that may or may not have been Kim's way of getting "revenge".

She is one of those people who preys upon people who are smaller and less "important" than her. She had like one friend and kind of wanted to convert Rhanda to "the dark side" haha, I think.

i think she drew randa into her plan as some sort of revenge. all through out the film, she was clearly passive aggressive. one second making rhada laugh with a racial slur...then critizing her for the laughter. she also knew that sue to the pc bridge no one would suspect a "good gilr" like Rhada, she was happy to let Rhada feel guilt to the point she would end her own life

I think she knew she could have power over Randa and could use Randa to her advantage.

Also, remember the scene where Mr. Anderson is talking to the other teacher (can't remember is name) at the picnic.
The guy says her IQ is off the charts.
That leads me to believe that she had the whole thing planned out the whole goddamn time.
I do believe the "revenge for her brother" theory as well.
Such a fun little film.
