With sick fantasies about his students. I go to catholic school and after watching this i couldn't help but feel grossed out by my male teachers. Even though i know it's far fetched for them to be like Mr. Anderson. I couldn't stop thinking about this sick teacher.

Anyway, i watched this wanting him to go to jail, even though he didn't really break any laws. Did anyone else get this feeling? I had such hate for him. Until the end, i wanted Kimberly to win... which technically she did.

But yeah, Mr.Anderson was a sick sick man, and it's proven at the end when his wife realizes what he did to her and left him.

Dunno it's been a while since i've watched it, but apart from Anderson being a bit overly pervy i don't think i'd go as far as to call him sick. I mean Evan Rachel Wood's character is an attractive girl, it's understandable he'd be attracted to her. It doesn't help that her charfacter purposly acts "sexy" to tempt him. And the whole school girl outfit with his wife scene is a pretty common fantasy.

The only scene where i really thought he'd gone too far and could be classed as sick was when he made whatsherface masturbate on stage, but tbh i found that part so silly and farfetched that it didn't have much of an affect.

wow your clearly desensitized. school girls are children from the ages of 8 to 18. If child molestation of an innocent school girl is what turns you on, then its no wonder your siding with that prick mr. anderson. I actually find it gross when adult women dress up as school girls it blurs the lines between reality and fantasy.

I don't know, I'm sure Mr. Nichol has that too, but somehow by comparison, Mr. Anderson looks really pervy. He's too chicken (not pervy enough) to do anything though, thankfully.

And I don't think it's right to watch his student masturbate in front of everyone without stopping her.

There's two different types of pervy. The teacher in the film was the type that felt guilty about it and pretended not to be turned on, so he was a hypocrite.

I'm tempted to think most teachers would have no problems whatsoever admitting and enjoying the teasing and flirting by their young female students. Or at least as much as they could get away with in public to keep their job.

It was the cowardice in deception that made his wife leave him and what made him Kimberleys victim.

i went to a catholic high school and there were alot of male teachers who would look at the girls lick their lips while suggestivly rub their hard on. Its disgusting and when you report it they dont get in trouble at worst maybe a suspension because the union protects their pedophilic a.sses. My math teacher sent a love letter to a student and hes still teahcing there, he also got an erection in class and would look up the girls skirts. He looked at my breast once too. My teahcers were worst than mr. anderson. trust

I didn't. But I did feel that way about the female reporter. She actually had sex with a child. Mr. Anderson never even touched one of his students.

This movie--and this rather dusty thread--shows what's wrong with watching too many Hollywood movies. Many males do have "schoolgirl fantasies" and I'm sure male teachers are not made entirely of stone when it comes to the older female students. But in real-life it is actually VERY UNCOMMON for either male teachers or female teachers to have affairs with students. Of course, every time it does happen the media has a field day .and then the movies come along and further perpetuate the myth of the horny male teacher and the evil, sexually predatory (and always suspiciously mature-looking) female student.

Actually, the latter especially is part of the "schoolgirl fantasy" and has very little to do with real-life teenagers. If anything, male teachers would be LESS susceptible to this fantasy because they spend more time around ACTUAL teenage girls. It's more everybody else that can't separate fantasy from reality.

As for the laughable idea of teacher's union protecting male teachers who get erections in class (from earlier in this thread, not a scene in the the movie), how is that even possible? Can you imagine the public outcry if a male teacher got aroused in class and he WASN'T run out of town on the rails?

True, the bored kids are the ones thinking about sex, but the sexes should really be segregated, male teachers can't really be strict with female students, and female teachers are generally inadequate at instructing males. Of course this raises the rate of homosexual incidents, since sex will find a way...
