i sooo love this movie (spoiler)

Being a fan of dark comedies, and cute bitchy teen girls films I am a bit biased. I have to say of all of them, this is up there with the best. Kimberly Joyce makes the girls from Heather's look like braty kindergartners. (I do love Heathers too though.) Shock value, and comedic irony aside though this show touches on so many social issues, and would be a great movie for a Sociology class.

To me what's funny about politically incorrect movies is that although the subject of the joke is towards a particular group of people, the humor comes from the fact that people actually believe the absurdity in the statements. The ignorance is what's so funny, and usually the people who get offended are the ones who actually feel that way. Anyhoo, back to the movie. Kimberly Joyce shows that sociopathic behavior isn't just confined to males. Destroying a man's career, and causing a person to commit suicide, had no effect whatsoever. This lack of remorse, empathy, and conscious, was made clear in her final conversation with Brittany.

It also shows that just because children come from wealth, and privilege doesn't mean they are happy. What kind of life is it when your Dad replaces your mother with a wife not much older than you, tapes your Violin recitals, and a mother who can't even remember your name? It happens a lot with children of successful wealthy parents who only care about their careers. We also see this with the Jewish boy, and his father, contradicting the stereotypes, and showing that both families are the same. Living in a fancy house, and having expensive clothes isn't going to take the place of a loving parent. Great film, still one of my faves.

"The ignorance is what's so funny" really, over and over again? not really that funny, and no I wasn't offended at all, simply got bored with it's redundancy.

This movie is no where near as good as Heathers.

There was no redundancy. Heathers was good, but this one went a little deeper.
