Please help with Music from this movie

I really like the scene in the with the two African dudes where one of them tries to convince the other that everything is O.K. I really like the music on the background, sounds sort of Jazzy but real quick. Does anyone know who the artist is ?

reply

no idea, bub.

i was wondering what the music was that played during the outtake 'tabletops'. it begins with what sounds like a real British radio broadcast, "This is London calling...".

reply

i don't really remember the tabletops scene so well as i saw it a while ago, but it sounds like you're talking about Midnight Jam by Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros. Its an instrumental jam with old radio bradcasts played over it, it's from their last album entitled Streetcore.

reply

Aha, thank you. I just bought Streetcore yesterday and remembered that there was a song from it in the movie, but I couldn't remember which one.

reply

I have not seen this movie yet, but I plan to after catching the closing credits and noticing that there were some Funkadelic songs like A Joyful Process and Nappy Dugout.

reply

there are 4 distinct songs that play during this one they are ska (jamaican music from the 60s)

Checking the credits I see "Nimblefoot Ska" by the Skatelites listed, "Set Back (Just Cool)" by Roland Alphonso and Carol McLaughlin, Streets of Gold by Roland Alphonso and the Soul Vendors and "Enna Bella" by Eric Monty Morris
