Coffe and Cigarettes generation!

I think that most people that think this is a bad movie doesn't understand what's behind every dialogue. Also, people who tried smoking or smokes and drink coffe at coffes, understands this movie more than others. Those are the ones who discuss things in real life, as the ones in the movie.

It is a cultural thing, and we who understand this movie and love it are the real "coffe and cigarette generation", irrespective of age.

Tequila doesn't go in coffee. Bailey's irish cream or some whiskey does.

See i disagree... I think that people that actually do go out and have coffee and cigarettes don't need to see the movie.

They live it so why watch other people live it just because they're famous.

I think you don't understand Jarmusch's idea behind his movies. It's exactly as you tell it: people live these kind of scenarios everyday and they think exactly like you: "man, i live it, it's boring..." but hey, it's your damn life we're talking about. I think he wants to picture the beauty in the everyday "normal" lives that we just don't appreciate anymore. He's a poet, a writer and a painter.

I cant believe you said that. Is there anything in your life that ONLY YOU DO IT??? In every movie, there are thousens of things that we all do, is that reazon enough for not watching the movie??? What movies do you see? do they even exist?
Movies are the mirrows on wich diferent societys see their own reflections. These movie reflects the "coffee and cigarettes generation", like someone else said.

Mmm yea... i guess you're just a clone then? You have the same life as your neighbours? I mean, come one... of course i do things only i would do. By the way, most movies are *fictions* -> thing that didnt really happen. Its true, this movie is supposed to represent the coffee and cigarettes generation, and that's the beauty of it. I don't event know what we're arguing over.

Coffee and Cigs. is like more of a parody/satire of our contemporary, American culture.
