any scene with Iggy Pop and Tom Waits cannot be bad. I mean if there was an album i have listened to more in my life than "Rain Dogs" by Tom Waits, it would be "Fun House" by the stooges. Jarmusch has good taste in my mind.

I thought it was hilarious... "Are you saying the drumming on my record sucks?" and then Iggy looks scared out of his gourd!

Hey, look! It's my new signature!

reply

Nah, the only funny part was at the end when Tom reads through the jukebox and says, "He's not on here either."

Personally I thought this was one of the best in the movie, I just loved how akward some parts were, and I dunno this segment just appealed to me, especially when they talk about Abbot and Costello, funny stuff.

And Tom Waits' little bit about performing a tracheotomy with a ball point pen. Fantastic! Best Segment of the Film!

That whole "Jim, Jimmy, Jim" thing was hie-larious.

it kinda like takes away that whole perspective that rock stars and movie stars are suave in all holds of life. of course their conversations can get as awkward as some of ours, especially when their reputations preceed them.
