RZA and GZA

Someone, please tell me this. Is it pronounced R.Z.A. and G.Z.A., or "Riza and Giza" (or Jiza?). Bill Murray says Riza and Giza, but my friend insists that he was mocking them. However, on the "Ghost Dog" DVD, there's an interview with RZA and Forest Whitaker and Jarmusch and both Jarmusch and Whitaker say "Riza" right in front of him. So, which is it?

CHAZ: He also stole bonds out of my safety deposit box when I was 13.
ROYAL: Eh heh heh.

Hey Dude
I´m not sure about this, but funny question though. First of all I think RZA should be pronounced "Raza"(Razor) and GZA...well he might be an old geezer who is simply a huge fan of the vocalist in Fear Factory Burton C.Bell´s former side-project "GZR"...and then again... I think GZA is pronounced "Jizza" and refers to being the "genius" or something in Wu-tang clan.
Crazy names man, and they just keep coming in the music biz. But these sure are more creative than for instance....Pink, wow?!?´+

it's pronounced "Rizza" and "Jizza". The names come from Divine Mathematics, a muslim practice involving the meaning of certain numbers and letters. Check out The Wu-Tang Manual by RZA for the full story.

Also, RZA's old rap name was Prince Rakeem and GZA's name is the Genius...RZA and GZA is the sound their old names make over a turntable when it's scratched..."Riza" and "Jizza".

If you listen to the Wu-Tang roll call during the into to the song "Method Man", it's pronounced Riza and Jiza
