Why all the hate for Jessica Simpson?

I just don't get it. Okay, she's not going to win any Oscars (they're rigged anyway so who cares?) but come on, she's believable in the roles she plays. She hasn't been in many movies but in every one I've seen her in there's not a single moment when I don't believe her performance. And in Employee of the Month she's actually extremely likeable and plays that role very nicely. And she's GORGEOUS. I just can't comprehend the vitriolic rants against her unless they're all from jealous women.

The reason why she gets all the hate is because she didn't want to look anything like the original Daisy Duke. If you take an established role you should at least try and look a little like the character you are portraying. She said she would only do the role if she could stay blond. Also her character wasn't anything like the original.

Personally, I think anyone that has issues with the lead actress of the movie not resembling Cahterine Bach is asking for way too much in a movie based on THe fU#$&ing Dukes of Hazzard.

The role of Daisy Duke has to look hot in skimpy clothes, including "daisy dukes" shorts.

I guess I'm wrong for not being butthurt that they picked a blonde hottie for the role.

She played her role. I thought she looked amazing. That was enough for me.
